On July 15 (Sat.) and 16 (Sun.), following the release of “Ice Cream Fever,” the first movie directed by Tetsuya Chihara, founder of KISS, TOKYO, we opened a pop-up store at “SHIBUYA SLOW STREAM” held at Shibuya Stream.
This time’s pop-up store was titled “Enjoy a movie, eat ice cream! 〜The pop-up store was co-located with Sarutahiko Coffee, where the movie was shot, and sold KISS, TOKYO goods as well as three kinds of ice cream and chilled coffee that appeared in the movie. A line may form for the limited-edition ice cream.
On the grand staircase of KISS, TOKYO booth, a trailer of the movie was projected on a projector. While Kayoko Yoshizawa’s theme song “氷菓子(korigashi)” was playing, the yellow uniforms of the sales staff were inspired by the costumes of the ice cream shop “SHIBUYA MILLION ICE CREAM” in the movie. KISS, TOKYO was the first to participate in the July edition of SHIBUYA SLOW STREAM. Although it was extremely hot for two days, many visitors came to the event and it turned out to be a very lively event.
“Ice Cream Fever” (film)
The first film directed by Tetsuya Chihara, who is also the founder of KISS, TOKYO, will be shown at TOHO CINEMAS Hibiya, Shibuya CINE QUINTO, etc. on July 14 (Fri.). The film is based on “Ice Cream Fever,” which is included in the short story collection “Ai no Yume toka” (Kodansha Bunko) by Akutagawa Award-winning author, Mieko Kawakami. The film is based on Mieko Kawakami’s unique world view. Starring Riho Yoshioka, Serena Motola, Utaha (Wednesday Campanella), Marika Matsumoto, and others.
