KISS,TOKYO Bench Objet completed and unveiled

KISS, TOKYO Corporation, the Shibuya City Tourism Association, and Tokyu Corporation installed the “KISS, TOKYO Bench Objet” on Shibuya River Street, which runs from Shibuya Stream to Daikanyama, on Friday, December 25, 2012.
This project arose from the desire to create a new tourist attraction in Shibuya. The concept of a bench objet d’art in the shape of the “KISS, TOKYO” logo was born, and the Shibuya City Tourism Association and Tokyu Corporation, which endorsed the idea, cooperated. Furthermore, a crowdfunding campaign was conducted, and the project was realized with the support of 4,206,236 yen from 252 people.

On December 25 (Fri.), a press conference was held on Shibuya River Street to unveil the “KISS, TOKYO Bench Objet” in hopes that it will become a beloved landmark in Shibuya area.

【Outline of KISS,TOKYO Bench Object】
■Location: Along the river on Shibuya River Street from Shibuya Stream to Daikanyama(near 3-22, Shibuya 3-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)
■Shape: A bench integrated with the KISS,TOKYO logo object. Nameplates of crowdfunding supporters (purchasers of name engraving rights) are attached to both sides of the bench.
■Size: 2.0 meters high, 3.5 meters wide, 1.5 meters deep, seat height 45 centimeters
■Materials: Steel, stainless steel, Ipe wood for seat

【Pop-up Store to Commemorate the Completion of the Objet 】
A pop-up store will be opened at WIRED SHIBUYA, located diagonally in front of the objet, selling goods with the KISS,TOKYO logo mark.
