Tokyu Plaza Harajuku’s “Harakado Day,” in which each tenant proposes a variety of events on the last Wednesday of each month, started in July.
On July 31 (Wed.), the first Warakado Day, a summer Japanese tea tasting seminar “KISS, SUMMER TEA!” was held by Oscar Brekell , a Japanese tea evangelist and instructor, at Lemon Life on the 3rd floor of Harakado.
Mr. Oscar Brekell was born in Sweden and was fascinated by Japanese tea at the age of 18. After studying Japanese language at Lund University, he went on to study at Gifu University. After graduation, he worked for a Japanese company and acquired qualifications related to “Japanese tea” while leading a salaryman’s life.
In a collaboration project between Mr. Brekell and KISS, TOKYO, four workshops were held. Visitors to each session were able to cool off with a cup of cool Japanese tea and enjoy the charm of Japanese tea in Harajuku, Tokyo.
