KISS,TOKYO art signs installed at eight locations in Shibuya Ward

In October 2018, KISS,TOKYO-designed public art was created at eight locations in the Jinnan district of Shibuya. With the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games coming up, it is expected that the number of visitors, including foreigners, will further increase. KISS,TOKYO is participating in the “Arrow Project(*),” an activity of the Shibuya Ward to safely guide such people who have difficulty returning home in the event of a disaster. Please look for the “arrow sign” of KISS,TOKYO when you go out in Shibuya.

*The Shibuya Arrow Project is an activity to make many visitors, including foreigners, aware of the location of “temporary shelters” where they can safely stay until support (reception) facilities for people who have difficulty returning home are opened, regardless of language and culture, in the event of a disaster. For this purpose, we believe that artistically designed signs that attract people’s attention on a daily basis will be effective, and artists have created “arrow signs” indicating the direction of “temporary evacuation sites” and installed them at necessary locations in the ward.
